TULARE COUNTY, Calif. - CHSRA announced August 21 the completion of the Avenue 88 grade separation in Tulare County.

According to CHSRA, this grade separation at Avenue 88 is the 57th structure completed in the Central Valley and the second to be completed in Tulare County. Located near SR 43, the grade separation measures 485 feet long and more than 32 feet wide. Crews built the structure with 20 pre-cast concrete girders measuring 59 and 141 feet long. The grade separation is comprised of 528,689 pounds of steel and 2,109 cubic yards of concrete, according to CHSRA. It relocates vehicle traffic over SR 43, the BNSF line, and future high-speed rail tracks.
