Jacobs/HDR JV Selected for Engineering Services on IBX Project

NEW YORK - Jacobs, in a joint venture with HDR, was selected to provide engineering consultant services for MTA's Interborough Express (IBX) Light Rail project.
According to the release, this project spans 14 miles and will connect Brooklyn and Queens communities. Jacobs and HDR Joint Venture will lead the design to address “freight integration, tunnel retrofits and major bridge modifications while also advising on delivery strategy and operational readiness studies.” IBX is posed to deliver benefits to Brooklyn and Queens, including expanded access to jobs and education.
