TORONTO - Metrolinx announced a new pedestrian bridge at Exhibition GO that crosses the rail corridor is open.
This new pedestrian bridge at Exhibition Station provides access between Exhibition Place and Atlantic Avenue. Metrolinx stressed the importance of this access for customers during Ontario Line construction and upgrades made to the Exhibition GO station.

On September 6, 2024, Metrolinx opened a new station entrance located on the north side of Atlantic Avenue and south of Liberty Street. This entrance connects to more than 40 meters of extended tunnels for passengers and serves as a connection for Lakeshore West GO Train customers. These two connections between Liberty Village and Exhibition Place allow people access to nearby attractions, such as BMO Field and Budweiser Stage.
Once the station is fully built, the Exhibition GO Station will connect riders to the Ontario Line and GO Train services. Metrolinx states the “brand-new overhead concourse will be the end point for the 15.6-kilometer Ontario Line while continuing to serve as a vital stop on the Lakeshore West GO line.” During rush hour, an estimated 12,100 people will pass through the station with 6,300 people transferring to GO trains and TTC streetcars. As a result, crowding at Union Station is expected to drop by 14%.
