Metra carrying out work at Round Lake, Ill., station

Regional Transportation District Construction of a new platform, lights and retaining wall will begin at the Round Lake, Ill., Metra station July 15, 2010 and continue until October 1. Work will begin on the east end of the platform. During the first phase of construction, commuters must board trains from the western portion of the platform.

For safety, Metra urged riders
not to walk around barricaded sections of the platform and use caution near the
work area.
