Brightline West Continues Field Investigation Work in Southern California and Nevada

LAS VEGAS - In continuing field investigation work, Brightline West has given more updates on work taking place along the proposed rail corridor in Southern California and Nevada.

As previously reported, work along the I-15 right-of-way began in January in preparation for high-speed rail. This work will take place during the day and includes geotechnical borings and samplings as well as utility potholing and land surveying.

Below includes details on where and when this work will take place over the next couple weeks.

CALIFORNIA

• I-15 Razor Road to Soap Mine Road: From April 15^th to April 19^th 6:30 a.m. to 4 p.m., daytime borings are scheduled on the I-15 in the center median and on the exterior shoulder of the southbound offramp at Meridian Road.
• I-15 from Mojave River to Ranchero Road: From April 16^th to April 19^th 6:30 a.m. to 4 p.m., daytime borings are scheduled. Additionally, there will be daytime borings scheduled from April 16^th to April 17^th from 6:30 a.m. to 9 p.m.
• I-15 Oak Hill Road to SR 210 Interchange: From April 15^th to April 19^th 6:30 a.m. to 4 p.m., daytime borings will take place in the center median and shoulders in the Cajon Pass. From April 16^th to April 17^th 9 p.m. to 5 a.m., night closures are planned in median and northbound exterior shoulder on I-15 near Glen Helen Parkway. From the 16^th to the 17^th 9 p.m. to 5 a.m., night closures are planned on Connector Ramps at the I-15/210 interchange. On Friday, April 19^th from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m., night closures are planned on the northbound interior shoulder at the I-15 in the Cajon Pass.

NEVADA

• I-15 median north of Jean, Nevada (milepost 12.5-27.5): On April 18^th, from 6:30 a.m. to 4 p.m., survey work will take place. 
• I-15 median north of Primm, Nevada (milepost 5-12.5): On April 18^th, from 6:30 a.m. to 4 p.m., geotechnical boring and survey work will take place.
