RailComm system in production at Union Pacific’s Roper Yard

RailComm has provided a wireless remote control system for Union Pacific's Roper Yard in Salt Lake City, Utah. The system includes remote control of 17 power switches from two centrally located, interconnected push-button control panels strategically located within Roper Yard. Each hardened, outdoor-rated control panel provides entrance-exit and stacked routing capabilities.

A point-to-multipoint
wireless data communications network has been established utilizing RailComm’s
RADiANT^TM Data Radio technology, linking the power switch machines to the two
control panels.  Switch machines
with LED position indicators and switch protection circuits are independently
monitored from each field panel location.
