WMATA track delays June 26-27 allow for upgrades

Written by jrood

June 25-27, Washington, D. C., Metro will make upgrades to the track on the Blue Line to improve reliability and service. As a result of this crucial work aimed at keeping the railroad in a state of good repair, riders can expect delays of up to 30 minutes.

Metrorail customers
traveling between the Stadium-Armory and Addison Road-Seat Pleasant Metrorail
stations should add at least 30 minutes to their travel time to allow Metro to
replace concrete slabs underneath the rails to help ensure a state of good repair.
Trains will share one track between these locations from 10 p.m., Friday, June
25, to closing (midnight) on Sunday, June 27.
