Entrances for the station will be located on the northeast and southwest corners of 94th Street and 2nd Avenue and on the west side of 2nd Avenue between 95th and 96th Streets for a total of three entrances. The duration of this contract is scheduled for a total of 42 months.

The first phase of the Second Avenue Subway is extending the Q Line northward to 96th Street from Midtown Manhattan with new stations along Second Avenue at 72nd Street, 86th Street and 96th Street. The subway line is expected to open for service in December 2016. There are two contracts remaining to be awarded on the project.
