WMATA to perform additional work to enhance safety

Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority (WMATA) may include additional weekend closures in the SafeTrack schedule to address issues identified following the East Falls Church derailment and updated steps taken to improve WMATA’s track inspection program.

New Union Pacific bridge to boost freshwater flow into Bayou Lafourche

Union Pacific Railroad broke ground this week with the construction of a new bridge over Bayou Lafourche in Donaldsonville, La., a popular travel destination just 45 minutes from New Orleans. Towering 102 feet, the bridge will replace the current crossing in its place constructed from box culverts.

FTA issues final TAM rule

Denver Eagle P3 B Line takes flight

The Denver Regional Transportation District (RTD) on July 25, 2016 officially completed and opened the Denver Eagle P3 Commuter Rail Project B Line. The electrified six-mile line links Denver’s Downtown Union Station Transit Center to Westminster Station on the Denver-Boulder corridor.
