After Infrastructure Upgrades, NS Coal Train 702 Runs Through Alabama

PARRISH, Ala. - Norfolk Southern announced its trains are now operating on the Berry Branch in Alabama.
On LinkedIn, the Class I stated NS Coal Train 702 travelled through Parrish, Alabama. This trip marks “the return of rail traffic on a key segment of our 3B Corridor.” NS has invested over $200 million in upgrades to its infrastructure in the area. Along with increasing capacity, it has expanded sidings and enhanced its crossings.
