CN Line ‘Significantly’ Damaged After Wildfire

ENTERPRISE, N.W.T. – Service on CN’s line near the N.W.T.-Alberta border is disrupted due to damage inflicted by a wildfire.
The Class I stated the damage is “significant.” According to a report from CBC News, the wildfire closed Highway 1 out of N.W.T. on Monday. As of reporting, there is no timeline for when repairs would be completed and service can resume, “but it’s expected to be down for several weeks.”
The statement from CN goes on to say that repairs will start immediately and continue as long as they are able to do so safely.
