MxV Rail Welcomes VP of Engineering, Maureen Werner

PUEBLO, Colo. – MxV Rail has welcomed its new Vice President of Engineering, Maureen Werner.

MxV Rail has welcomed its new Vice President of Engineering, Maureen Werner. In a press release, it stated that Werner brings her extensive engineering knowledge and rail industry expertise to MxV Rail and will be “responsible for leading over 100 exceptional engineers in the pursuit of delivering high-quality research, testing, and ancillary services.”

Before retiring from TTX Company where she served as Assistant Vice President of Engineering & Research, she “worked to continuously improve its railcar fleet’s reliability through advanced component design and implemented more efficient and effective condition-based maintenance.” Additionally, Werner has served on the Association of American Railroads’ Equipment Engineering Committee as Chair for the past fifteen years. 

As for Maureen Werner’s educational background, she earned a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from the Illinois Institute of Technology and a master’s degree in mechanical engineering from Northwestern University. Also, she completed “The Chicago Management Institute Executive Education Program at University of Chicago Booth.” Werner is now an accredited Professional Engineer in Illinois.

Kari Gonzales, President and CEO of MxV Rail, stated that MxV’s success as a premier rail advisory comes from people, and that with Werner’s “established reputation and leadership”, she has “raised the bar for engineering in the rail industry . . . She will bring a new perspective to our operations and will be an outstanding addition to our already excellent Engineering Team.”
