MENOMONEE FALLS, Wis.– In a press release, Enerpac announces it has acquired Track Tools technology.

In a press release, Enerpac announces it has acquired Track Tools technology. According to the release, the purchase is part of a renewed focus by Enerpac on providing fully integrated solutions for railroads globally. With this new agreement with Track Tools, Enerpac now has exclusive worldwide rights to the Track Tools brand, its track maintenance products, and the ability to leverage Track Tools expertise in rail maintenance.

As part of its offerings, the Track Tools TL248 track lifting solution can be easily transported and fits comfortably in pickup truck bed. The lifting system is powered by four independent Enerpac hydraulic jacks which can accurately raise and lower tracks within 1/8 inch. Once deployed, the system can lift and hold up to 248 tons, enabling track maintainers to complete repairs and supporting the weight of trains to minimize or eliminate service interruptions.

The TL248 hydraulic lifting solution is engineered to raise and hold railroad cross-over sections, switches, retarders, and bridge ends, thereby allowing tamping machines to operate in the upright held position. It is ideal for tie replacement, and it was developed in conjunction with the continuous feedback from a Class I railroad and meets Class I specifications for operations, safety, and support materials.

Enerpac’s vertical market leader for rail, Paul Connolly, said: “With an aging infrastructure that can adversely impact shipping times, minimizing service interruptions caused by maintenance is more vital than ever. . . The key advantage of the RL248 system is its capacity to keep lines operating while track maintenance is being performed and most importantly, it is safer than traditional methods. Using our high-performance tools and lifting systems, we are able to help customers take on their most complex and difficult jobs safely and efficiently.”

Enerpac will be at booth #4036 at the Railway Interchange show in Indianapolis from October 2nd-4th.
