Modernized Passenger Concourse Coming to Union Station

TORONTO – The city’s Union Station Enhancement Project will construct a new passenger concourse to Union Station.

Union Station construction will include a removal of four southernmost tracks, relocating underground utilities, and the installation of site delineations for demolition work. Along with platform canopies 24/25 and 26/27, the platform stairways that allow access, concrete platforms, and track beds were also removed for construction.

The new concourse will provide riders with “access points to and from platform levels above and maintain connections into the Bay, York, and VIA concourses, Union square and Scotiabank Arena” as well as “connect Bay and York Streets”.
