Wood named transit and rail market lead for WSP Texas-Mountain region

WSP USA has named Lindsay Wood transit and rail market lead for the Texas-Mountain region.

Wood had previously served as transit and rail manager for WSP in Texas where she provided project and technical leadership roles for clients such as Capital Metro, Central Texas Regional Mobility Authority, Texas Department of Transportation, Dallas Area Rapid Transit and the Gulf Coast Rail District.

Wood will be based in the firm’s Austin office and WSP said she will drive business growth by engaging with clients, leading strategy and business development activities, coordinating with industry partners and supporting project delivery.

“Lindsay makes complex transit plans successful by driving actions that lead to solutions, defining and executing strategy, and improving process to manage programs and advancements,” said Julie D’Orazio, senior vice president and WSP’s national market leader for transit and rail.

Wood serves as president of the Women in Transportation Seminar’s Heart of Texas Chapter, which provides scholarship, youth mentoring and professional development programs. Wood is a registered professional engineer in the state of Texas.
