SACRAMENTO – SacRT issued an alert that service is temporarily suspended as crews start working to repair damage to its line after storms.

Sacramento Regional Transit (SacRT) has issued an alert that its light rail system is temporarily suspended during the morning on February 5th due to storm damage. The notice on the site says that alternative transportation “will be in place on the Blue and Gold Lines until Light Rail service is able to be restored. Riders should expect bus delays due to storm damage and debris in roadways.”

According to a report in the Folsom Times, storm damage including fallen trees, power lines, and other debris are littered on the right-of-way throughout the county, leading to the suspension in service. Crews are currently working to repair the damage and restore power.
