Five teams prequalified to bid on Go Transit expansion Infrastructure Ontario

Five teams have been prequalified by Metrolinx and Infrastructure Ontario to bid on an expansion of the Toronto area's GO Transit network.

The Lakeshore East – Central Corridor Expansion project is part of the multi-year Go Regional Express Rail program to extend the region's rail system.

Metrolinx and IO say the teams were selected based on their construction capability, experience, qualified personnel and financial capacity to deliver a project of this size and scope. They include:

  • EllisDon Infrastructure Transit (EDIT)
  • SNC-Lavalin Team (SNC)
  • Dragados Canada Inc. (Dragados)
  • Steel Head Constructors (SHC)
  • Lakeshore Rail Construction Partners (LRCP)

The scope of work includes two grade separations; track and grading work and all supporting infrastructure, including retaining walls.

A request for proposals is expected to be released in spring 2018.
