SunRail is a 61.5-mile commuter rail transit project. The 31-mile first phase of SunRail will serve 12 stations, linking DeBary to Sand Lake Road, south of Orlando. Phase 2 will serve five additional stations, north to DeLand and south to Poinciana. Service is expected to begin in 2014.
SunRail trains will consist of 1-3 cars, in addition to a locomotive and can carry about 150 seated passengers per car. Maximum operating speed will be generally between 65-79 mph.
