ROANOKE, Va. - Genesis Rail unveiled its Track Cleaner with TrackSweep™ System at AREMA.
According to the release, Genesis Rail Services says the unveiling marks “a major step forward in rail site maintenance.” At AREMA, Genesis Rail gave live demonstrations on how the system works to clear the track surface of ballast and debris.
The system was engineered for a number of rail environments, including freight and passenger, and it addresses the growing need for a reliable and cost-effective maintenance solution, Genesis Rail notes. The system helps operators reduce downtime and improve safety by removing debris and buildup, allowing for “optimal performance between scheduled cycles.” The TrackSweep™ system’s benefits include improving water runoff to protect the ballast and sub grade, reducing unplanned cleanups and any subsequent service interruptions, and the versatility of the system to adapt to different yards, mainline, industrial spurs, and any “tight-access locations.”
Genesis Rail Company CEO Rance Randle said, “A clean track is more than appearance – it’s essential for safety, regulatory compliance, and operational productivity. . . Launching TrackSweep at AREMA let us show its real-world impact and connect directly with the industry leaders shaping the future of rail.”
