Kristin Ward brings more than three decades of experience in customer service and operations to her expanded role, says NARSTCO. Having spent 17 years at the company, Ward recently served as Director of Customer Service and worked in “driving customer-focused strategy, operational excellence, and organizational performance.” Prior to her time at NARSTCO, Ward served in leadership roles at Tyler Refrigeration.

Additionally, NARSTCO promoted Craig Smethie to Vice President of Operations. Smethie holds more than two decades of experience in manufacturing and operations leadership. Additionally, he has spent more than six years as Director of Operations at NARSTCO where he led “multi-site manufacturing operations with responsibility for engineering, safety, quality, and end-to-end operational performance.” In this role, he has also worked closely with leadership on business planning and P&L accountability. In this new role, Smethie will work to drive performance, growth, and stability of the business.

Zachary Matheny has also been promoted to Customer Service Manager. In 2019, Matheny joined NARSTCO as a Quality Control Inspector before being promoted to Project Coordinator in 2020. In this role, he worked to prepare customer quotations and support various customer service functions. In his new role, NARSTCO says he will “oversee all aspects of customer orders from initiation through completion.”

“These promotions are a testament to the hard work and dedication of each individual. We are thrilled to see NARSTCO continue to grow under Kristin’s leadership through 2026 and beyond.” RailWorks CEO, Jim Sabin said. “With such a talented team, we look forward to great things from these remarkable individuals.”
