NEWINGTON, Conn. - The Connecticut Department of Transportation (CTDOT) published a five-year Capital Plan that includes more than $15 billion in transportation projects.
According to a release from CTDOT, the Capital Plan (reproduced below) covers projects during Federal Fiscal Year 2026-2030. The projects include bridge repairs, upgrades to facilities, and redesigns. CTDOT also has an interactive map that can be used to view all state-managed projects that are in design or construction phases.
CTDOT allocated $2.16 billion for bus and rail. This includes upgrades and building train stations along the Waterbury Branch Line and Hartford Line as well as replacing the Devon Railroad Bridge located between Milford and Stratford. Public comments can be made until February 15, 2026 by emailing [email protected] or using their online form.
“With this plan, we’re rebuilding roads and bridges, modernizing public transportation, and making it easier and safer to travel in Connecticut,” said Connecticut Department of Transportation Commissioner Garrett Eucalitto. “These long-term investments will improve safety, better connect our towns and cities, and help our state economy thrive.”
