ASHTABULA, Ohio - Delta Railroad Services, a rail construction and services company and member of Salcef Group, announced a leadership transition.

Delta Railroad Services will continue to operate “with local operational autonomy,” says the company while also benefitting from the expertise, global reach, support, and long-term investment approach of Salcef Group. Salcef Group, headquartered in Rome, Italy, has been serving the rail market for more than 75 years and has 8 business areas and 13 operating companies.

On February 27, 2026, Linda Laurello transitioned into the role of Chairman of the Board of Delta Railroad Services, according to the release. It is in this role where Laurello will focus on long-term strategy, institutional partnerships, and corporate and external affairs. She will work closely with Salcef Group’s global governance and strategic leadership.

Linda Laurello said, “This governance transition reflects Delta’s continued evolution as part of the Salcef Group and supports the company’s long-term growth in the North American market.”

Subsequently, Fernando Fantozzi was appointed Chief Executive Officer of Delta Railroad Services. In this role, Fantozzi will assume executive responsibility for Delta. This includes day-to-day decision-making along with execution, performance, and safety “across all business units.”

Fernando Fantozzi said, “The focus of this transition is to strengthen our operational leadership, culture, and values. Our priority remains delivering safe, high-quality outcomes for our clients while supporting Delta’s role within Salcef Group’s global rail platform.”
