STV Wins Traffic Engineering Contract in Connecticut

HARTFORD, Conn. - CTDOT has selected STV to provide traffic engineering services under a new task-based agreement.

In this agreement, STV will act as prime consultant and provide traffic engineering services across the state. Additionally, it will support projects from preliminary studies to design to construction-phase assistance. Its services include traffic signal and intelligent transportation systems (ITS) design, safety improvements, rail crossing enhancements, and roadway signage and pavement marking, says STV. STV has worked to deliver engineering and project management services in Connecticut for 70 years.

STV project manager Patrick O’Mara said, “STV’s long history with CTDOT allows us to move quickly from analysis to action, allowing us to deliver practical, innovative traffic solutions efficiently and reliably. . . This work directly improves safety, mobility and the day-to-day travel experience for communities across Connecticut.”
