California High-Speed Rail Authority released an update video of construction progress across 10 structures it completed this year. In addition, CHSRA gave an update on Construction Package 4, “the southernmost 22-mile stretch of active high-speed rail construction in California’s Central Valley.” The video also includes a look at the progress made on the Conejo Viaduct in Fresno County, Hanford Viaduct in Kings County, and the Tule River Viaduct in Tulare County.

The CHSRA has created over 11,500 jobs in construction, and almost 1,500 workers are dispatched to these construction sites daily. Now, CHSRA has started work to extend the current 119 miles under construction to 171 miles from Merced to Bakersfield. As of reporting, CHSRA has more than 25 active construction sites and has “environmentally cleared 422 miles of the high-speed rail program from the Bay Area to the Los Angeles Basin.”
