Metrolinx continues to make progress on the Eglinton Crosstown Light Rail Transit project. Here are the latest updates.

It’s all about connections.

New images from the Crosstown Light Rail Transit (LRT) construction project show a number of interesting intersects – from transit lines to where customers will soon pay for their rides.

Here’s a ‘breakdown’ – including a very real one.

Cedarvale

Image shows an opening in a concrete wal.
Workers at Cedarvale Station recently smashed through a concrete slab that separated the pedestrian tunnels connecting Cedarvale Station to Eglinton West TTC Station. After installing the steel that will support the opening, the team will move on to tiling and ceiling panel works. (Metrolinx photo)

Mount Dennis

Tiling has been completed at the concourse ticket booth at Mount Dennis Station. It’s looking much closer to what customers will see as they trek through daily. (Metrolinx photo)

At Grade

Improvements along Eglinton aren’t limited to the guideway only – sidewalks all along the surface section are getting an upgrade, including a stretch of Wynford Drive. (Metrolinx photo)

And another, At Grade

Earlier this year the At-Grade team removed a portion of the retaining wall on the southwest side of the CP bridge. Now the retaining wall has been reinstated. Next up: the crew will continue with widening the portion of Eglinton Avenue East adjacent to the wall. (Metrolinx photo)
