ST. LOUIS, Mo. – RR Mergers & Acquisitions has announced the acquisition of Lone Star Railroad Contractors by GCF Track Services, Inc.

In a news release, RR Mergers & Acquisitions announced that Lone Star Railroad Contractors has been acquired by GCF Track Services, Inc. Lone Star Railroad Contractors was founded in 1993 and operates from Ennis, Texas with other facilities in San Antonio, Texas, Amarillo, Texas, Blytheville, Arkansas, and Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. It works to provide “railroad maintenance service throughout the Southwest U.S., serving a broad range of customers in markets including agriculture, building materials, consumer products, energy, and steel.”

GCF Track Services, Inc. houses its headquarters in Rome, Italy, and it “operates in the railway infrastructures, electrification, signaling and maintenance sector.” The President of GCF, Edoardo Rossi, stated that the “acquisition expands GCF’s reach into the U.S. rail market and leaves us well positioned to build upon the successful legacy of Lone Star Railroad Contractors.”
