Kontrol Technologies Selected for Ontario Rail Expansion Infrastructure Project

ONTARIO – Kontrol Technologies has been selected to provide emissions and air quality monitoring for Ontario rail expansion infrastructure.

According to Ontario Construction News, Kontrol Technologies has been selected “to provide multi-year monitoring of emissions and air quality for Ontario rail expansion infrastructure.” The company will “install a customized emission and air quality solution as well as providing real-time monitoring over two years for a new rail infrastructure project.” The project is part of the mandate to expand rapid rail transit in Ontario.

Kontrol Technologies was also awarded “multiple energy efficient installations in the commercial building sector with a total value of $500,000.” The company will provide monitoring and analysis of critical emissions. It will also install heat pump technology to replace existing HVAC systems “and to drive energy savings of up to 60% per annum and reduce corresponding building emissions.”

Kontrol CEO, Paul Ghezzi, said: “This is our second major rail infrastructure win, and we are pleased to have been selected for this multi-year project. . . Our real-time monitoring provides important insights and analytics to support the expansion of rail infrastructure with high transparency for impact on local air quality.” He continued on, stating: “As part of our ongoing focus on organic growth and expanding our high margin business, we will continue to target large, new infrastructure opportunities where our solutions can drive recurring revenues. . . We continue to add new customers across our industrial emission and commercial building platform as we deliver high value solutions for our customers. . . We remain focused on driving organic growth with profitability.”
