PITTSBURGH - Michael Baker International launched Titan, an enterprise AI platform.

According to the firm, Titan brings together leading frontier models into a single secure interface. It reportedly strengthens AI-enhanced service delivery with access for over 6,000 engineers, architects, and scientists. Titan was designed as “an enterprise operating layer, providing unified, secure access to the world’s most advanced large language models through a single pane of glass interface built on Microsoft Azure and Microsoft Foundry.” This ensures the firm will continue to have access to AI models available without being locked into a single provider.

The platform includes a no-code/low-code agent builder. Therefore, anyone at Michael Baker International can create purpose-built AI agents and publish said agents to an internal library, thus building upon professional knowledge across the firm. Externally, this means Michael Baker’s clients will experience “better outcomes, delivered faster and with greater confidence,” says the firm. With this platform, teams can synthesize requirements, evaluate alternatives, and coordinate across disciplines to improve operations and delivery.

Michael Baker International Executive Vice President and Chief Technology Officer Rod Malehmir, Ph.D. said, “Titan is an extremely powerful proprietary tool that enables our entire team to access data, synthesize it and apply it at the pace that modern engineering demands. The collective knowledge of Michael Baker International now operates in real time, at scale, across every project. . . What we are seeing at Michael Baker is not simply ‘AI adoption.’ It is a fundamental shift. We are evolving into an AI-native technology engineering firm. It requires rethinking how we hire, how we organize and govern data and how we deliver value by treating our work as scalable products, not one-off projects.”
