LAUSANNE, Switzerland - Revizto announced it has launched Revizto for Infrastructure for complex long-distance projects, including rail.
According to the release, Revizto is a collaboration platform that is used across architecture, engineering, and construction industries. Its launch of Revizto for Infrastructure can be used for highways, railways, tunnels, and power lines, says the company.
The solution addresses the challenges of growing costs and increasing complexity among infrastructure projects by bringing workflows and visual data into one platform to be used by designers, engineers, operators, and contractors. Because it gives all individuals one main resource of information, Revizto says this reduces the chance of errors and hours of manual setup work.
Within the platform is Linear Navigation, a core capability that lets teams “import alignments and chainage directly into Revizto.” Then, platform users can navigate miles of track, road, or pipeline, verify designs, identify issues, and manage said issues by precise location, says Revizto. These tasks previously can take hours to complete. Revizto says its platform allows for these tasks to completed in minutes. Linear Navigation also works to enhance accuracy with improvements to driver-view and signal-sighting assessments that allow for more consistent visual reviews.
Revizto CEO and Founder Arman Gukasyan said, “Revizto for Infrastructure is the next step in our mission to simplify complexity across the AECO industry. By combining everything teams already trust in Revizto with new tools built specifically for large-scale linear projects, we’re giving them the ability to plan, build, and maintain critical assets with accuracy and confidence. This move is transformative for infrastructure delivery and extends our success helping global clients bring their most ambitious projects to life.”
KiwiRail has used Revizto for design coordination, issue management, and model review for its programs. KiwiRail Onsite Technology Lead Jasen Cronje said, “Revizto’s Linear Navigation is going to be game-changing. Instead of spending hours manually creating viewpoints across kilometres of track, we’ll be able to explore sections instantly – gaining accuracy and efficiency like never before for driver views and signal sighting. Across our major programmes, from the Drury Rail Stations and Wellington Metro Upgrade Programme to Regional Rail and the Mount Maunganui Yard Upgrade, this will save us hours during project setup, unlock new use cases, and deliver more reliable visual assessments. Clearer communication with stakeholders and a reduced risk of late-stage design changes will be major wins for our teams.”
