Amtrak VP Lang Discusses Harrisburg Line Track Renewal Project
Written by Jennifer McLawhorn, Managing Editor
HARRISBURG, Pa. - Vice President, State Supported Services Ray Lang discusses the progress made on the Harrisburg Line Track Renewal Project on WITF's The Spark podcast.
The Harrisburg Line Track Renewal Project is set to finish in November.
Over the span of 20 minutes, VP Lang talks about the “$122 million capital project” wherein crews are working to replace ties, ballast, and rail. The project is on schedule, which Lang says is due to crews being able to perform this work during the day. Lang says that “historically you tend to do this kind of track replacement projects at night, during the evening, and then do so by putting up these large light posts, these lamp trucks, basically that light up the railroad so that the employees can work.”
