Metrolinx to Install East Bridge Span

Metrolinx announced Bloor Street West (between St. Helens Avenue and Ruttan Street) will be closed from October 23-28 for bridge installation. According to the agency, crews are going to install the east bridge span during the closure.
In addition, there will not be any through-traffic under the bridge between 9 p.m. and 5 a.m.. As well, pedestrians, drivers, and cyclists “will be detoured via Lansdowne Avenue and Symington Avenue going north/south and across Wallace Avenue going east/west.”
There will also be partial closures of Bloor Street West leading up to October 23rd. During this time, “one sidewalk will remain open, and one land will be maintained in each direction for traffic travelling east and west.”
