A rail bridge fire in Oklahoma City, Okla., has knocked out rail service in the area, and officials do not know when traffic will be able to continue.

The Oklahoma City Fire Department believes a grass fire sparked the rail bridge blaze on July 12. Creosote-treated crossties made the fire difficult to extinguish. Stillwater Central Railroad owns the bridge, which is located near Southwest 15th Street and Agnew Avenue, and is currently inspecting the span.

Fire officials do not know exactly how the fire was started but believe the grass fire was the culprit. That investigation is ongoing. RT&S will provide updates when and if they are provided.
