CSX Donates $50,000 to Restoration Fund for Key Bridge in Baltimore

JACKSONVILLE: CSX announced this week that it is donating $50,000 to the restoration fund for the Francis Scott Key Bridge in Baltimore.

The railroad reported in a press release that “In a gesture of solidarity and support for the community, CSX announced a donation of $50,000 to the Maryland Tough Baltimore Strong Key Bridge Fund through the Baltimore Community Foundation (BCF). The fund, established by BCF, serves as a secure platform for Baltimore residents and supporters to contribute towards the recovery and resilience of the city following the tragic March 26 collapse of the Francis Scott Key Bridge.”

“Joe Hinrichs, CSX president and chief executive officer, highlighted the company’s deep connection to the Maryland region, which spans nearly two centuries. ‘Our thoughts and prayers are with those impacted by this tragedy. As we navigate these challenging times, CSX remains committed to assisting our neighbors throughout this community on their path to recovery.’
