Michael Baker International adds Shepherd as SVP, national market lead for rail/transit

Bonnie D. Shepherd has joined Michael Baker International as senior vice president and national market lead in the railroad and transit practice.

She will be based in the firm’s Baltimore office and will direct all related to Michael Baker’s rail and transit national market to better serve the public and private demands of the industry and the firm’s growing client base.

Shepherd has nearly 30 years of experience that includes work in the rail and transit industry with a focus on multi-modal transportation in architecture and engineering. Her expertise also includes strategic marketing and analytics of transportation systems, teaming partners and intelligence related to transit authorities and commissions for ports of America, the Department of Defense and municipal and federal governments.

Before joining Michael Baker, Shepherd was vice president of Corporate Strategy at Systra, USA, where she collaborated and developed strategies focused on track, infrastructure, electrical and systems for new work in the Northeast region of the United States, as well as the broader North American market. Prior to her role at Systra, Shepherd served as vice president of Marketing and Business Development at Hatch Mott McDonald where she specialized in multiple disciplines within the transportation industry.
