SANDAG, NCTD to install crossovers, perform maintenance along LOSSAN

On April 20 and 21 in Southern California, North County Transit District (NCTD)'s COASTER commuter rail service, Amtrak and BNSF will cease operations for track maintenance.

The San Diego Association of Governments (SANDAG) will install equipment on the Washington and Tecolote crossovers in San Diego. SANDAG will also install a crossover in the Sorrento Valley area. NCTD will take advantage of the rail closure to complete other rail maintenance work in the cities of Oceanside, Carlsbad, Encinitas, Del Mar and San Diego.

The line will re-open for regularly scheduled service April 22.
