SEPTA to perform switch and track crossing renewal project

Southeastern Pennsylvania Transportation Authority (SEPTA) has scheduled a switch and track crossing renewal project for the intersection of 49th Street and Woodland Avenue from June 9-22.
Most of the track in this area was installed in the mid-1980s. SEPTA will excavate, renew and pave all tracks within the intersection of 49th and Woodland. Among the improvements resulting from the project will be reduced sound and vibrations and a smoother ride due to the new track components.
