Railway Interchange 2015 host associations say they are gearing up for the biggest event to-date. With four months to go before the event, indoor and outdoor exhibition space is sold out and 60 percent of available hotel rooms have been reserved.

The USA-based combined exhibition and technical conference will be held at the Minneapolis Convention Center and at BNSF’s nearby Northtown rail yard, October 4-6.

The Railway Interchange 2015 exhibition showcases the latest technology, services and research by members of the Railway Supply Institute (RSI), the Railway Engineering-Maintenance Suppliers Association (REMSA) and Railway Systems Suppliers, Inc. (RSSI). Railway Interchange 2015 also features technical presentations and discussions by members of the American Railway Engineering and Maintenance-of-Way Association (AREMA) and the Coordinated Mechanical Associations (CMA).

“A record 641 exhibitors will bring their displays to the convention center show floor this year and an additional 35 exhibitors will showcase equipment and services at Northtown yard,” noted REMSA Executive Director of Trade Shows David Soule.

“With 60 percent of our associations’ combined hotel room space reserved four months in advance of the event, we are gearing up for the biggest Railway Interchange ever,” AREMA Interim Executive Director and Chief Executive Officer Larry Etherton, PE, stated.

Highlights of the conference program, which begins on October 5, include motivational speaker and retired U.S. Navy SEAL Robert O’Neill as keynote speaker during the opening general session; Norfolk Southern Corporation President and CEO James Squires, who will address the AREMA Annual Chairs’ Luncheon on October 6 and railroad industry analyst Anthony Hatch, who will be the featured speaker at the closing general session on October 7.

AREMA is also offering nine educational seminars in conjunction with its conference.

In addition to the AREMA and CMA meetings, the North American Institution of Railway Signal Engineers (IRSE) will hold its annual general meeting in conjunction with Railway Interchange 2015 on October 6.
