TREVOSE, Penn. - A CSX train derailed near the crossing of East Bristol Road and Grave Avenue on June 30.

CSX says the incident involved 16 railcars, but there were no injuries reported or hazardous material leaks. The Class I issued a shelter-in-place order as a precaution as it investigates the cause. Crews are also at the site, working to restore operations. An estimated time of when normal operations can resume has not yet been released.

CSX advises its customers to continue to check its service bulletins for updated information as it is released, stating “please monitor CSX Customer Advisories and Intermodal-specific Real-Time Service Advisories for updates.” RT&S will keep readers updated of the situation and possible cause of derailment.
