Network Rail puts new grinders into service

Britain’s infrastructure manager Network Rail (NR) has introduced into operation the first two of three 150m (492-foot) long grinding trains, which Loram and Colas Rail are supplying under a £36-million (US$48.6-million) contract.

SNC-Lavalin acquires asset management firm

SNC-Lavalin has acquired Data Transfer Solutions LLC (DTS) for $45 million. The company says the acquisition will add to the capabilities of SNC-Lavalin’s Atkins sector and will enhance service offerings in digital asset management for clients.
