LOS ANGELES – Union Pacific has finished repairs in its Calexico subdivision after flooding.

Earlier this week, RT&S reported on the repairs taking place in Southern California on Union Pacific tracks in three subdivisions: Yuma, Cima, and Calexico. Now, the Class I has released an announcement stating it has “completed the necessary repairs on our Calexico subdivision.” Currently, there are still speed restrictions in place temporarily. Additionally, it will take a few more days for train congestion to clear, and “efforts are underway to balance locomotive power and crew availability in the affected area.”
