PUCO Approves Crossing Upgrade in Lucas County

COLUMBUS, Ohio - The Public Utilities Commission of Ohio approved safety upgrades in Lucas County.
According to PUCO, Ann Arbor Railroad will install flashing lights and gates at the Erie Street grade crossing by April 14, 2027. $415,600 in federal funding will go toward this project.
In addition, no more than $5,000 in State Grade Crossing Safety Funds will be made available for increasing public safety during construction for rumble strips, signage, illumination, etc.
