KDOT Accepting Calls for Projects by Sept. 1st

TOPEKA, Kan. – Kansas Department of Transportation’s call for projects for its Rail Service Improvement Program ends September 1st.

According to KRSL, the Kansas Department of Transportation (KDOT) has announced it is accepting calls for projects to be submitted to its Rail Service Improvement Program. The deadline is September 1st, and applications are available on KDOT’s website. Currently, there is “an estimated $10 million in funding” geared toward “projects that enhance safety, promote efficiency and sustainability to the state’s rail network.” However, applicants must be able to fund 30% of the total cost of the project proposed.

Following the deadline, projects chosen for awards will be announced next Spring.
