Coulam and Wise join Loram Friction Management

Loram Friction Management welcomes John Coulam as Sales Engineer and Bruce Wise as Director of Business Development

Loram Maintenance of Way, Inc. (Loram) announced that John Coulam is joining its Friction Management division as as Sales Engineer, Western Region. Coulam brings twenty-nine years of supplier related experience in the railway engineering field with Class 1, Shortline, Transit and Contractor Markets.  Coulam’s background of track knowledge, track related equipment, focusing on customer needs/solutions and dedication to customer service is a welcome addition to Loram.  Prior to joining Loram, he was Western Region Sales Manager for NARSTCO and as Vice President, Sales and Marketing with Encore Rail Systems.

 

Bruce Wise

In addition, Loram announced that Bruce Wise is joining its Friction Management division as Director of Business Development. As part of Loram’s global growth initiative, Bruce will drive the growth of Loram’s friction management business division both domestically and internationally.  Wise will utilize his wealth of experience and reputation in friction management products and services to integrate his leadership with Loram’s existing sales team in providing solutions for the rail industry.

Wise is well respected and recognized in the rail community and brings with him more than 30 years of engineering, sales, management and leadership experience. Wise has held recent positions of Director of Business Development at GREX, Director of Railroad Sales at Whitmore Rail, and Vice President and GM at Portec RMP Division where he led the development and go-to-market strategies for several industry-recognized products. Wise has served on the Railway Engineering Maintenance Suppliers Association (REMSA) Board of Directors since 2009, serving as president for the 2017-2018 term, and he is an active member of Committee 4 in the American Railway Engineering Maintenance Association (AREMA).
