MEMPHIS, Tenn. - Pandrol SAS was awarded a Gold Medal in the latest EcoVadis sustainability ratings for the fourth year in a row.
This achievement places Pandrol in the “top 5% of sustainable businesses around the world,” according to the press release. Additionally, the company was awarded an “Advanced” award for carbon management, a repeat from 2023. EcoVadis evaluates companies amongst 21 sustainability criteria in four core themes. These are the environment, labor and human rights, ethics and sustainable procurement. In these, Pandrol received a score of 74 out of a possible 100.
Pandrol says the products in its Sustainable Resilient Systems (SRS) range are “designed to reduce track vibration and cut down on the need for regular maintenance,” and they are “manufactured using old tyres with 90% of the materials used in the process being recycled.”
Pandrol CEO Nicolas Grolt said, “Pandrol is delighted to have secured its fourth consecutive Gold Medal in the EcoVadis sustainability ratings and is equally as proud to once again pick up an ‘Advanced’ award. Our sustainability journey is about more than awards. It’s about systematically embedding ethical, social, and environmental responsibility into every aspect of our global operations. With operations spanning over 100 countries, Pandrol is committed to setting new benchmarks in sustainable, responsible business practices – prioritizing people, planet, sustainable performance.”
