Skanska Announces USA Civil Northeast Operations Appointments

NEW YORK CITY - Skanska announced several promotions for its USA Civil operations in the Northeast.

According to the press release, John Crecco was appointed to Senior Vice President for Skanska USA Civil. He brings with him more than 30 years of experience in the construction industry and has experience in “intricate mechanical endeavors and has overseen various specialized disciplines.” At Skanska, Crecco was involved in the Croton Water Filtration Plant project and the I-4 Ultimate Project. Currently, he is working on the JFK Airport Central Terminal Area Roadways, Utilities, and Ground Transportation Project in Queens.

Vincent Evola has been appointed to Senior Vice President of Operations for USA Civil’s New York and New Jersey operations. 24 years out of his 30 years of experience have been spent with Skanska. He has served as Skanska Northeast’s Chief of Staff and Vice President of Operations. Part of his work includes the Second Avenue Launch Box & Tunnels, Hunts Point Roadways, Hunts Point Wastewater Treatment Plant, and the Livivingston Avenue Bridge Project.

Brian Reilly is now Senior Vice President of Operations, and he brings with him a “wide-ranging skillset through his experience on numerous heavy civil infrastructure projects in the Northeast, including Corona Avenue Vortex Facility, Central Artery Project (“Big Dig”), World Trade Center Transportation Hub and Path Hall projects, and General Dynamics Electric Boat’s South Yard Assembly Building.” Now, he is working on the Portal North Bridge and Hillview Reservoir Project in Yonkers.

Robert Coutts is now Vice President of Operations for the Civil business unit in the New England region. Coutts has more than 40 years of construction management experience with a nine-year tenure at Skanska. He has worked on projects throughout Massachusetts, including the Immersed Tube Tunnel Project and the South Coast Rail Expansion Project.

Steve DelGrosso is the Vice President of Operations in the New England region. He has a nine-year tenure at Skanska and specializes in bridge replacements, highways, tunnels, and transit facilities. He has also worked on the Route 146 Reconstruction in Rhode Island.

Alexander Borovets is now Chief Engineer after working eighteen years in Skanska’s Engineering Department in New York. According to Skanska, Borovets oversees the engineering team, manages planning and coordination of engineering tasks, and works to adhere to strict safety regulations and quality standards. He is also a licensed Professional Engineer and active member of the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE) and Deep Foundations Institute (DFI).
