Sandra Bucklew Joins HNTB as Florida Construction Services Group Director

LAKE MARY, Fla. – With more than 32 years of experience in construction engineering and management, Sandra Bucklew joins HNTB as the firm’s construction services group director.

HNTB has announced Sandra Bucklew, PE has joined the firm’s construction services group as vice president, group director, and practice builder. Based in Lake Mary, “Bucklew will focus on growing the firm’s construction services practice in Florida.”

Bucklew has worked on other distinguished transportation projects which include the “$24 million SR 100 Railroad Overpass Project in Bradford County, Fla., a $25 million capacity improvement project – SR 369 (US 319) from South of East Ivan Road to North of SR 267 – in Wakulla County, Fla., among other CEI services on projects in Florida, Illinois, and Indiana.” Before joining HNTB, Bucklew served as a project manager and consultant CEI administrator at the Florida Department of Transportation. During that time, she “oversaw CEI consultants and provided CEI services for the inspection of highway and bridge construction, including bridge painting and rehabilitation projects.”

Holding a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from Florida State University and a Professional Engineering license in Florida, Illinois, and Indiana, Bucklew is “a member of the Florida Engineering Society and serves on the College of Engineering, Civil Engineering Advisory Board at her alma mater.” In the Florida chapter of the American Council of Engineering Companies (ACEC), Bucklew sits on several committees, including as “the CEI Subcommittee Chair and incoming Transportation Chair for the 2024 term.”
