Caltrain Completes Testing of Three Electric Trains

SAN FRANCISCO –– Caltrain is one step closer to introducing electric service on a portion of its line with having finished the testing of three of the new electric trains.
Each trainset must complete 1,000 miles of testing and thoroughly checked out before revenue service can begin. The Caltrain electric fleet comprises 23 trainsets, so there is a lot of testing to be done.
