The North Carolina Department of Transportation's (NCDOT) rail division has chosen Dewberry to provide general rail engineering support.

The services provided by Dewberry may include rail project management and technical support; track, roadway, and structure design and associated preliminary and final plans, specifications, and estimates; engineering feasibility studies for rail corridor projects; and program management support for federal grant programs, according to Dewberry.

“With our robust team of experienced transportation and railroad engineers, we’re excited to provide the NCDOT Rail Division with plans and specifications to expand and improve the state’s current rail infrastructure system,” Dewberry Vice President Rachel Vandenberg, PE, said about the engineering firm.

Dewberry has experience providing professional services to various public- and private-sector clients, officials noted.

Officials also noted Dewberry’s commitment to client service.

“Dewberry is dedicated to solving clients’ most complex challenges and transforming their communities,” the company said.

Dewberry is headquartered in Fairfax, Va. The firm operates more than 50 locations with 2,000-plus professionals nationwide.
