The Valley Metro Regional Public Transportation Authority (Valley Metro), and Valley Metro Rail Boards of Directors have elected new officers for the Fiscal Year 2018–2019 term.

Glendale Vice Mayor Lauren Tolmachoff has been elected to serve as chair of Valley Metro RPTA beginning in her new post July 1, 2018.  Chandler Councilmember Kevin Hartke was elected to hold the role of vice chair, and the system’s treasurer will be Phoenix Mayor Thelda Williams.

The board includes elected officials from 17 cities and towns and Maricopa County.

Phoenix Mayor Thelda Williams was elected to serve as chair of Valley Metro Rail beginning July 1, 2018, and Tempe Vice Mayor Robin Arredondo-Savage also began serving as vice chair of Valley Metro Rail on the same date.
