MBTA’s Kendall/MIT Outbound Station Entrance Opens

BOSTON - Starting April 20, 2026, the outbound Kendall/MIT headhouse will be open for service.
The outbound head house was recently renovated with a new glass enclosure, staircase, elevator, and an additional accessible glass elevator, says the MBTA. The rest of the station also remains completely accessible for passengers, while the final phase of headhouse renovation is in effect until its completion in early June. The renovations were completed and funded by BXP along with the Cambridge Redevelopment Authority.
Located at 325 Main Street, the station serves riders on the Red Line.
